About Vegematarian
Vegematarian is an online recipe book that explores dairy-free and gluten-free (but not flavour-free) vegetarian recipes. Cooking adventures also focus on high alkaline and low acidic food to help maintain general well-being in the body.

There aren’t many vegetarian recipes that cater for those who also want to avoid dairy and wheat… and so this blog was born. ‘Vegematarian’ was a 2009 New Years Resolution that has grown into something more significant and personally inspiring.

About Me

Hi! I’m Kirsty and I live in Melbourne, by the beach with my amazing husband and my dog. I work as a sustainability consultant for a community organisation and I am passionate about caring for the Earth and caring for each other.

I have a history of health ‘challenges’ (which started when I was 3 years old) so I’ve spent much of my life researching and testing the relationship between diet and general well-being. I feel SO MUCH BETTER when I’m eating right, exercising and looking after myself. So this blog helps me (and hopefully, you) stay on track!

Vegematarian also encourages people to consider environmentally-friendly food and  think outside the square when it comes to living sustainably… let’s be ‘ethicureans’!

    I love vegematarian, I’m in Melbourne too. maybe we will meet on the healthy food circuit sometime. thanks for the interesting recipes.
